Ingredients:

  • 12 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 6 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon into the egg mixture

Place the cubed bread into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish

Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring that they are evenly coated

If desired, sprinkle chopped green onions on top for added flavor

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the egg mixture

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving

Slice, serve, and enjoy your delicious Bacon, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Casserole!
